The Project on Establishment and Support of Provincial Mine Action Database and Coordination Unit (DBCU) in Quang Binh province is a part of the mine action program cooperation between Quang Binh PPC and Norwegian People’s Aid in the period 2020 - 2025.     

The goal of the project is to establish, develop and further implement a database unit, with an appropriate information management and coordination system for mine action at provincial level, to enhance data collection, processing, safe storage and analysis for more informed mine action decision-making processes by provincial and national authorities.

Implement, and cooperate with relevant departments to develop policies, set targets, and make long-term, short-term, and medium-term mine action plans; cooperate with departments, organizations, and local authorities to implement the approved plan; manage, monitor, and report to the standing committee of PMASC.

Conduct regular monthly coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders; implement coordinating role by integrating mine action projects into the socio-economic development plans.

Prioritize in line with guidelines and regulations of the province, and task high-prioritized CHAs to operators for clearance.

Receive and respond to hotline calls, and timely task EOD teams.

Be responsible for managing, operating, and developing the provincial mine action database including building and updating procedures and reporting templates for collecting mine action data applied throughout the province; to collect, process, update, store and integrate MA data sources; ensure all data reports are checked, approved, stored in an accurate, secure and safe way.

Guide and supervise the operators in reporting mine action data in accordance with IMSMA standard forms as the basis for consolidating the database and reporting to a national database at the Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC).

Ensure good conditions for reporting and storing mine action data; support, and provide software tools, technical support, and capacity building and training on information management for IM staff of organizations to collect, check and report to DBCU Quang Binh in a timely and accurate manner.
