PeaceTrees VietNam was very pleased to release safe land to support Nam Trach Commune People's Committee in Bo Trach District

On May 18th, 2023, PeaceTrees VietNam was very pleased to release safe land to support Nam Trach Commune People's Committee in Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. This land will be used for the construction of a community house for Dong Thanh Village of Nam Trach Commune, serving cultural, sports, entertainment and recreational activities of the people in the area.

Previously, after receiving a request for clearance support from Nam Trach Commune People's Committee, PeaceTrees VietNam in Quang Binh and Quang Binh Database and Coordination Unit conducted a joint site-assessment. The project deployed a Battle Area Clearance (BAC) No 2 team to carry out UXO clearance operations. As a result, 1,949 square meters were cleared and 3 items of explosive ordnance including one 37 mm projectile and two 57 mm projectiles were found and then safely removed to a storage facility for demolition later.
Clearance operations at public welfare development sites are one of the main operational components conducted by PeaceTrees VietNam in Quang Binh Province to make contributions to removing the threats of explosive ordnance and returning safe land for implementing the public non-commercial projects like schools, medical centers and rural roads etc.
